Unlike standard variegated varieties bred for the houseplant trade, ‘Painters’ is a vigorous, solid-green agricultural vine specifically optimized through advanced genomic selection to thrive in hot, humid climates.

Cultivation & Care Instructions
Whether you are scaling up a shade house operation or adding to a private collection, ‘Painters’ requires specific tropical conditions to establish its root system and reach flowering maturity.
Substrate: Avoid standard potting soil. Plant the base in a highly aerated, chunky mix to prevent root rot. A custom agricultural blend of coarse coconut husk, bulk pine bark, perlite, and a touch of biochar provides the ideal balance of drainage and moisture retention.
Support Structure: As a climbing epiphyte, ‘Painters’ must climb to mature and produce flowers. Provide a sturdy, long-lasting vertical support—such as heavy-duty bamboo poles—for the aerial roots to anchor onto as the vine scales upward.
Light & Environment: Mimic a tropical canopy. Provide bright, dappled sunlight or filtered shade house lighting. Protect the vine from direct, scorching afternoon sun, which will easily burn the foliage.
Temperature & Humidity: This vine thrives in daytime temperatures between 80–85°F and requires high ambient humidity to support its aerial roots.
